3 FHM models, 2 others hurt in road accident

At least three models of the men's magazine, FHM, and two others were injured after figuring in a road accident in Bacolod City last weekend. The victims' vehicle collided with a dump truck at Lacson Street in Bacolod City 5:00 a.m. Saturday, news site Visayan Daily Star reported Monday. Traffic investigator Police Officer 2 Eliseo Adraneda identified the injured models as Karine Borador, 25, of Makati City; Pauline So, 26; and Jeramae Padolina, 24, both of Manila. Adraneda said the models were rushed to the Pablo O. Torre Memorial Hospital, where they are now recuperating. One of them sustained head injuries. The others who were injured were Michael Abergas, 25; and Ramonito Esmalde, 19. Investigation showed that the victims' Mitsubishi Pajero (with plate number FFT-786) driven by Airon Rex Gicos, 24, was heading north of Lacson Street when they suddenly hit the rear portion of the dump truck of the Department of Public Works and Highways (with plate number SCR-982). The impact caused the truck to go forward and sideswipe Esmalde, who was putting traffic cones along the road. Adraneda said the models were on their way to the Bacolod-Silay Airport to catch the first flight to Manila after attending some activities in Bacolod and Iloilo City. –VVP, GMANews.TV
