Oil firms to roll back prices by P0.50/liter Saturday morning

(Updated 7:12 pm) The oil firms Pilipinas Shell, Petron and Chevron Philippines are set to implement early Saturday morning a P0.50 per liter rollback in the prices of their fuel products. In a text message Friday, Shell spokesperson Bobby Kanapi said they would cut the prices of V-Power, premium gasoline, unleaded gasoline, regular gasoline, V-Power diesel, diesel and kerosene starting 12:01 in the morning. Chevron Philippines, formerly Caltex, will also reduce its gasoline, diesel and kerosene products effective 12:01 a.m. Petron, on the other hand, will decrease the prices of its gasoline, diesel and kerosene products starting 6 in the morning. He said this is to “reflect the decline in international product prices." As of posting time, other oil companies have yet to advise if they will also roll back their prices. - Amita O.
