Report: Cavite court sheriff killed in gun attack

An unidentified gunman shot dead a court sheriff in Cavite province Friday noon. Radio dzBB reported Saturday the victim, identified as Hernan Rodelas, 44, succumbed to gunshot wounds in different parts of the body. The incident occurred in Noveleta town in Cavite at noon Friday, even as police are looking into whether the incident was work-related. Rodelas was assigned at the Office of the Clerk of Court at the Regional Trial Court in Cavite City. Initial investigation showed he had come from work aboard his motorcycle when he was ambushed in Coastal Bay subdivision. — LBG, GMANews.TV
