Pinoys collectively reminisce via Sentisabado on Twitter

Filipinos across the globe have been fondly reminiscing on their childhood today on Twitter via the hashtag #sentisabado, which just became a Trending Topic on the microblogging site. Started on a whim last week by online journalist Tonyo Cruz, #sentisabado (Filipino for "Sentimental Saturday") gained momentum today as Cruz asked Pinoys around the world to share their childhood memories: "#sentisabado ngayon! Ang theme natin 'Our wonder years: Flashbacks to elem/grade school'" he tweeted. It was more than apparent that the trend had snowballed just after 2pm, and by 4pm the hashtag was being used at a rate of around 100 tweets per minute and became a Twitter trending topic around 6pm. - GMANews.TV
