2 hurt as fire hits residential area in Tondo

At least two people were injured after a fire believed caused by an explosion of a liquefied petroleum gas tank razed their house in Manila's Tondo district Friday. Radio dzBB's Carlo Mateo reported the fire started at the house of Reynaldo Babas, 46, at 1855 Velasquez Street at 8:05 a.m. The fire reached the third alarm before responding firefighters placed it under control at 8:48 a.m. Injured were Babas and his son Reiner, 17. The two sustained burns in the face and body, and were rushed to the Mary Johnston Hospital for treatment.
