NAIA officials tracing mother of baby abandoned in plane

Officials of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) have started tracking down the mother who left behind a baby boy inside a Gulf Air plane on Sunday. Radio dzBB’s Denver Trinidad reported that NAIA assistant general manager for operations, Octavio Lina, said they are checking the manifest of the Gulf Air flight where the boy was found.
He said they are trying to contact the parents of the child, who was found inside the bin of the Gulf Air flight that arrived on Sunday morning at NAIA Terminal 1, located along the border of Pasay City and Parañaque City. The boy, covered in blood and wrapped in tissue paper, was found inside a garbage bag that was reportedly unloaded from an airplane that landed on Sunday from Bahrain. An earlier report quoted Social Welfare Secretary Corazon Soliman as saying the baby will be turned over to the mother’s relatives or put up for adoption. –VVP, GMANews.TV
