Typhoon Inday intensifies further, may exit RP Monday

Typhoon "Inday" (Fanapi) intensified further Saturday morning as it continued to move northwest, and may leave Philippine territory Monday. In its 11 a.m. advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Inday was AT 510 km northeast of Basco, Batanes. It said Inday packed maximum winds of 150 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 185 kph, and was moving west-northwest at 12 kph. By Sunday morning, it is expected to be 470 km north-northeast of Basco, Batanes. By Monday morning it is expected to be 550 km north-northwest of Basco, Batanes or 170 km west-northwest of Taipei, Taiwan. No public storm signals were raised, as PAGASA said Inday is still too far to directly affect any part of the country. — LBG, GMANews.TV
