Two earthquakes rock Zambales — USGS


At least two quakes rocked the Olongapo area in Zambales in Central Luzon on Sunday night but there were no reports of damage or casualty. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) said the first quake measuring magnitude-4.7 occurred at 9:33 p.m., with the epicenter 280 kilometerrs (km) west-southwest of Olongapo City. The USGS said the epicenter was also some 320 km west-southwest of Angeles City (Pampanga); 345 km west of Manila; or 350 km southwest of Dagupan City (Pangasinan). A second quake measuring magnitude 4.8 was recorded at 9:45 p.m., with the epicenter at 60 km south of Olongapo City. It said the second quake's epicenter was also some 75 km west-southwest of Manila; 95 km south-southwest of Angeles City; or 100 km northwest of Batangas. –VVP, GMANews.TV
