Report: 7 people abducted in Maguindanao released

Seven people abducted in Maguindanao province last Thursday were released before dawn Saturday. Radio dzXL reported two were released Friday night while five were released at 2:30 a.m. Saturday in Langkong village in Matanog town in Maguindanao. It cited initial reports identifying the five as Zainal Kusain Makasipol, Kamar Babai Ali, Abdul Gaos, Ibrahim Musa, and Abdul Wahab. A separate report on Bombo Radyo said the five were turned over to a crisis management committee headed by Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao interior secretary Momoy Lucman. The Bombo Radyo report said the kidnappers agreed to release the hostages after their demand for the release of one of their relatives who was abducted last Sept. 14 was granted. — LBG, GMANews.TV
