USGS: Magnitude-4.7 quake hits Mindanao

A magnitude-4.7 quake rocked parts of Mindanao Monday morning, but there was no initial report of damage or casualties. The United States Geological Survey said the quake was recorded at 9:39 a.m., with the epicenter traced to 80 km east northeast of Surigao. It said the epicenter was also 115 km south southeast of Guiuan, Samar; 140 km north northeast of Butuan; or 755 km southeast of Manila. — RSJ, GMANews.TV
