Pop singer Britney Spears' much-awaited appearance on Glee today caused so much online discussion that 7 out of 10 Trending Topics on Twitter were direct references to the episode. According to SmallScreenScoop.com, just half an hour after the episode aired in the US, most of the trending topics on Twitter were in reference to the show. The Glee-related trends included "Britney Spears Glee", "After Dentist Reference", "Heather Morris", "Sue Sylvester", "Artie Singing", "Jewish Cloud", and "Lea Michelle". Most of the topics were either direct references to cast members or characters, or to events in the episode.
