Police: Cessna plane crashes in Cebu; no one hurt
A single engine Cessna plane crashed Tuesday morning in Cebu province, but its two pilots emerged unhurt after the accident, the spokesman for the Philippine National Police said. In a text message, Senior Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr. told reporters that the plane, with tail number RP 4421, and owned by a certain Jesoph Bahinting, crashed in Lake Danao in San Francisco town in Cebu’s Camotes Island, shortly before 11 a.m. Cruz said the plane’s pilot — Capt. John Almiro — and an unnamed student pilot were unhurt. Authorities are now investigating on the cause of the crash, he said. — LBG/RSJ, GMANews.TV
