Report: 100 rounded up in anti-drug raid in Manila

The police rounded up at least 100 residents of Manila's Tondo district in an anti-drug raid on Thursday noon. Radio dzBB's Carlo Mateo reported a team from the Manila Police District Station 2 also seized several drug paraphernalia during the raid on Isla Puting Bato in Tondo. The police operatives brought the drug suspects to the police station for verification. In conducting the raid, police cited information that some of the residents there are allegedly involved in the drug trade. Isla Puting Bato, located in the breakwater of the city's North Harbor and the adjacent land of the Philippine Ports Authority, is home to hundreds of families. –VVP, GMANews.TV
