A college student who was on his way to meet a person he exchanged text messages with was kidnapped by still unidentified men in Sulu on Thursday afternoon, a police official said Friday. Kenn Klefford Lao, 21, was abducted by a group of unidentified men outside the Notre Dame Jolo College campus in Barangay Bubus at 3 p.m. Thursday, Chief Superintendent Bienvenido Latag, Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) regional police chief, said on Friday. She also said that she received a call at 10 p.m. Thursday from an unidentified man claiming he had the victim under his custody, according to the police official.
