Manila cops get 'CCTV footage' of Bar exam blast suspects

Investigators believe they have gained a major lead in the Sept. 26 Manila Bar exam blast, after getting what could be closed-circuit television footage of the perpetrators. Radio dzBB's Carlo Mateo reported Tuesday that the Manila Police District (MPD) is verifying the identities of the suspects and conducting a background check on them. But MPD spokesman Chief Inspector Erwin Margarejo said they could not make public the CCTV footage until they complete the background checks. Margarejo would only say that the CCTV footage came from De La Salle University, where the Bar examinations were held. Several people were injured in the blast that marred the end of this year's Bar examinations in Manila. The MPD, National Bureau of Investigation and Supreme Court are still investigating the incident. — LBG/RSJ, GMANews.TV
