'Chemical leak' near school downs teacher, 14 students in Iloilo

A suspected chemical leak from a construction site downed a teacher and 14 students of a high school in Iloilo City Monday afternoon. Radio dzBB's Iloilo affiliate reported Tuesday the incident occurred at the Colegio de San Jose in Jaro district at about 1 p.m. The report said some of the students lost consciousness due to the foul smell. City officials have started an investigation on the incident, which was initially traced to a construction site near the school. As of Tuesday morning, the students had recovered and were allowed to go home, the report said.
