The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) will be imposing a color coding scheme on buses passing through the thoroughfares of Metro Manila in three to five years time, the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) revealed Tuesday. De Jesus, however, said that they will conduct consultations with bus operators before going through with the plan. He likewise said that they are also looking into a less expensive way to color code the buses. "I understand that buses are repainted every two years," he said. During the hearing, the DOTC chief likewise said they are in the process of checking all the buses that have been given franchise to make sure that they are authorized to pass through their respective routes. "We are about to finish this by the end of this month. By this time all authorized buses will be tagged," he said. — Kimberly Jane Tan/RSJ, GMANews.TV
