Report: P106-M worth of marijuana destroyed in Northern Luzon

Anti-drug operatives destroyed on Friday some P106 million worth of marijuana plants following raids on two large plantations in Northern Luzon. Radio dzXL reported that the Philippine National Police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency raided the plantations in Benguet and Ilocos Sur in Northern Luzon. Initial reports indicated some 350,000 plants were found on a 20-hectare plantation raided by the PNP and PDEA. The law enforcement teams burned the plants seized from the plantations, the report said. However, the report said the PNP and PDEA failed to make any arrest during the raids. –VVP, GMANews.TV
