Report: 5 hurt in Parañaque City fire

At least five people, one of them a volunteer firefighter, were reported hurt in a fire that razed a residential area in Parañaque City Friday night. Radio dzBB reported early Saturday the fire destroyed 20 houses along Bonifacio Street Extension in San Dionisio village, rendering 60 families homeless. The injured included four residents and a volunteer firefighter who fell from the roof of a house while battling the blaze. Arson investigators are verifying information that the fire was caused by an overheated electric fan at the house of one Ronald Cruz.
