5 killed in Batangas road accident — report

Five people were killed in a collision between a passenger bus and a jeepney in Ibaan town in Batangas province on Monday, a report on dzBB radio said. The report quoted Ibaan police head Senior Superintendent Edgardo Dimaano as saying that the incident happened on Monday morning along the Southern Tagalog Arterial Road (STAR) Tollway. The bus (plate number: DXV-511) reportedly rammed into the jeepney (plate number: DRA-522) and fell off a ditch. Several others were hurt, the report added.
