SANTIAGO CITY, Isabela – Search and rescue teams on Thursday morning recovered the body of one of the four missing passengers of a boat that capsized off the coast of Aparri town in Cagayan province three days ago. The body, which was found floating along the shoreline of Aparri’s Padaya village, was identified as that of Daniel Peralta. The discovery brought the number of fatalities in the incident to three. Senior Superintendent Mao Aplasca, Cagayan police provincial director, said Peralta’s body was discovered at around 7 a.m. Search operations, meanwhile, are ongoing as of posting time for the three other missing victims. The four were among the 14 passengers on board a motorized boat on its way to Calayan Island but overturned while navigating back toward its point of origin in Maura village due to big waves.
