Century, Versace partner in P3-B designer condo

(Updated 5:20 p.m.) Century Properties on Thursday said it has partnered with Milan, Italy-based Versace, the world-renowned fashion-luxury brand, and is investing over P3 billion for the residential development, called The Milano Residences. The 24-year-old Philippine developer, whose track record in luxury projects includes the award-winning Essensa East Forbes in Manila — by Pei Partnership Architects and I.M. Pei — is collaborating with the interior designers of Versace Home to design the public spaces of The Milano Residences, a first for the international brand in Southeast Asia. The Milano Residences will be completed by 2015 in the 3.4-hectare Century City, the flagship mixed-use development of Century Properties in the financial center, Makati. The architecture will complement Versace Home’s interior design in the grand lobby, hallways, lounge, library, pool garden, and spa. Versace Home will also create interior themes that residents may apply to their own units. “To have a Versace Home interior-designed address presents a rare opportunity, and an immense value to both end users and investors as the units are very few and are considered collectible real estate," said Robbie Antonio, Century Properties managing director and The Milano Residences project head. The 340-unit development will have one- to three-bedroom units. Prime units in various sizes and layouts include The Penthouses, The Townhouses, and The Loggias — Italian-inspired units with private plunge pools, Century said in a statement. By the first quarter of 2011, Century will open a showroom for The Milano Residences in Makati’s Pacific Star Building. — VS, GMANews.TV
