Earthquakes measuring at least magnitude 4 rocked Mindanao Friday morning and Eastern Visayas Thursday night, but state seismologists said there was no damage or casualty. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology (Philvolcs) said a magnitude-4 quake rocked Agusan del Norte before noon Friday, and was tectonic in origin. Phivolcs said the quake was recorded at 10:52 a.m., and traced the epicenter at 25 kilometers (km) southeast of Butuan City in Agusan del Norte. According to Philvolcs, the quake was felt at Intensity II in Butuan City. On Thursday night, Phivolcs said a magnitude-4.1 quake rocked Eastern Samar. Phivolcs said the quake was also tectonic, and was recorded at 9:17 p.m. No aftershocks were expected from both quakes, Phivolcs said. – VVP, GMANews.TV
