Charice hospitalized in Singapore due to food poisoning

Filipina international singing sensation Charice Pempengco was brought to a hospital in Singapore on Saturday morning due to food poisoning, her mother said in a television interview. Raquel Pempengco, Charice’s mother, said her daughter had to be brought to the hospital in Singapore after she complained of stomach ache hours before her performance in a concert of her godfather, musician David Foster. May nakain lang siyang hindi maganda, kaya siya na-ospital," Mrs. Pempengco said in a phone interview aired over ABS-CBN on Saturday night. She added that Charice’s fellow performers in the concert were also brought to the hospital supposedly due to food poisoning. “Hindi lang naman po siya ang nadala sa ospital. Pati rin ‘yung iba niyang kasama sa concert," she said. She however assured that the international singing sensation and “Glee" cast member is already feeling well after taking medication. “Okay na po siya. Wala na raw po siyang nararamdaman. Naka-take na po siya ng gamot. Tuloy na tuloy po ang concert," she said. Charice is currently in Singapore for the final leg of the “David and Friends Concert Tour." The same concert was staged in the Philippines last October 21. - Andreo Calonzo, GMANews.TV
