15 families lose homes in QC fire

At least 15 families lost their homes after a fire of undetermined origin hit a residential area in Quezon City Monday morning. Radio dzBB's Manny Vargas reported that the fire started at 8:40 a.m. in Pansol village in Balara, Quezon City, and reached the third alarm. Sketchy initial reports indicated the fire started at a boardinghouse and spread to nearby houses in the neighborhood. Residents helped firefighters put the fire under control before 10 a.m. by fashioning a makeshift hose and connecting it to a water pipe. — RSJ, GMANews.TV
