362 cadavers to be exhumed from Cebu cemetery to make way for condo

Several residents in Cebu City are worried as the government plans to exhume 362 cadavers from a public cemetery to make way for a condominium-style housing unit for poor families. Radio dzBB’s Cebu affiliate reported on Tuesday that residents are questioning how the remains of their dearly departed would be handled as the government begins the condominium project this month. The report said the residents want to know where the remains would be brought and how they would be “relocated." Earlier, the city government decided to tear down the Lorega San Miguel Public Cemetery for a three-story condominium for some 80 families living in the cemetery. –VVP, GMANews.TV
