Fetus dumped inside trash can in Pasig

The Pasig City police are now looking for the mother who dumped her six-month-old fetus into a trash bin discovered by scavengers late Tuesday night. Radio dzBB’s Manny Vargas reported on Wednesday that the fetus was placed inside a small box and dumped in the trash can along Evangelista Street, Santolan Village, Pasig City. Scavengers found the box containing the fetus and reported it to the police, who estimated its age at six months. The discovery came nearly two months after a series of incidents where fetuses were left in parts of Metro Manila, including in front of the Manila Cathedral. On the other hand, a baby boy was left inside the trash bin of a Gulf Air flight, and found shortly after the plane landed in Manila in September. Social Welfare officials confirmed an overseas Filipino worker as the boy’s mother after a month of testing. – VVP, GMANews.TV
