Days after a hate page was set up on a social networking site for an aide of the President Benigno Simeon Aquino III, he shared on his Twitter account a message about not being a fault-finder. Aquino reposted on his Twitter account a message from one Danilo Daroy which was posted under the "Panata (Vow) of the Day" section of the Office of the President (OP)'s website: "(I) would rather help the government than to be a fault finder person."

Aquino's Twitter account often features "Panata of the Day" entries, which direct users to the "Panata" section of the OP website. Wednesday's "Panata of the Day" came amid a series of criticisms against Aquino's speechwriter, Assistant Secretary Carmen "Mai" Mislang. Mislang made controversial tweets during Aquino's official visit to Vietnam where she was part of the official delegation. Aquino said he
will not fire Mislang because he was convinced that Mislang has realized the implications of the snide comments she made on her Twitter account, such as:
the wine served during the state banquet "sucks;" there were no handsome men in Vietnam, and an easy way to die was to cross the streets of Vietnam where motorcycles abound. After the state banquet hosted by Vietnam President Nguyen Minh Triet in honor of Aquino during his state visit, Mislang was said to have tweeted: “The wine sucks." She allegedly also posted this on her Twitter account: “Crossing the speedy motorcycle laden streets of Hanoi is one of the easiest ways to die." She reportedly also tweeted: “Sorry pero walang pogi dito #vietnam." (Sorry, there are no handsome men here #vietnam.) Mislang deleted her Facebook and Twitter accounts after getting flak for her tweets. However, the deletion of her accounts failed to stop her critics from setting up a hate page against her. On the other hand, the Palace has imposed a temporary suspension on the use of social networking sites. — VVP/LBG, GMANews.TV
