Phivolcs: Magnitude-4 quake hits Oriental Mindoro


A magnitude-4 quake rocked Oriental Mindoro province in Southern Luzon before noon Monday, but state seismologists said no casualty or damage was reported. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology ans Seismology (Phivolcs) said the quake was recorded at 11:04 a.m., with the epicenter at 53 km southeast of Calapan, Oriental Mindoro. Phivolcs said the quake was tectonic and was felt at Intensity III in Pinamalayan town in Oriental Mindoro. However, it said no aftershock was expected from the quake. — RSJ, GMANews.TV
