Aquino didn't watch Shalani's TV show

President Benigno Simeon "Noynoy" Aquino III did not watch on Monday the maiden appearance of Valenzuela City Councilor Shalani Soledad, reportedly now his ex-girlfriend, on her new television show. Soledad, who has been Aquino's girlfriend in the last two years, debuted as the co-host of Willie Revillame in his new game show "Willing Willie" on Monday. "[I] Wasn't able to," said Aquino when he was asked if he watched Soledad's TV show via text on Tuesday afternoon. Aquino said on Monday he would watch Soledad's game show if his schedule would permit it. However, the president had to study documents related to the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Japan which he will attend later this week. Although both parties refused to confirm reports, it is widely rumored that Soledad's relationship with Aquino ended recently. Aquino, the country's first unmarried president, has yet to say categorically in public that they have called it quits. However, he hinted last month that he went on a date with another woman. Aquino is currently being linked to his stylist Liz Uy. The president said on Monday that he wishes Soledad well on her decision to join show business. "We wish her really well. I understand she looks at it as a perspective to broaden her ability to serve her constituents so sana yung upside will be fully attained, she finds fulfillment and happiness in it, yung downside naman of being in showbiz hopefully will be very mitigated or non existent," Aquino said in an ambush interview with reporters in Malacañang. Incidentally, Revillame, who is in the middle of a legal battle with his former station, ABS-CBN, was a known supporter of Senator Manny Villar Jr., one of Aquino's closest rivals for the presidency in the May 10, 2010 elections. – VVP, GMANews.TV
