Mentally ill man kills father, 2 other kin in Bulacan

A mentally ill man killed and tried to burn his own father, his sister and his four-month-old niece on Tuesday early morning in San Jose Del Monte City in Bulacan, police said. The man, identified as 25-year-old Allan Relano, reportedly hacked his three relatives to death inside their house at Carmel Farm in Barangay Tungkong Mangga at 3:45 a.m. Tuesday, Senior Superintendent Fernando Villanueva, Bulacan provincial police director, said in a text message. The victims were identified as Arturo Relano, 56; Jennifer Relano, 30; and her daughter, four-month-old baby girl Kailyn Relano. An initial investigation of the incident revealed that the suspect also tried to burn the dead bodies of his relatives by pouring kerosene on them, according to Villanueva.
