US Embassy closed on Thursday for Veterans' Day

The United States Embassy in Manila will be closed on Thursday in observance of Veterans Day. In an entry on its Facebook page, the Embassy said it will resume regular office on Friday, November 12. "The U.S. Embassy Manila will be closed on Thursday, November 11 in observance of the US holiday, Veterans Day. Regular office will resume on November 12," it said. Veterans Day is an annual United States holiday honoring military veterans. It is observed on November 11. It is also celebrated as Armistice Day or Remembrance Day in other parts of the world.
