Magnitude 5.2 earthquake hits CLuzon, felt in MManila


A magnitude 5.2 earthquake hit parts of Central Luzon and was felt in Metro Manila on Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. The U.S. Geological Survey, National Earthquake Information Center estimated the epicenter's location at about 52 km west northwest from Olongapo, Zambales, or 128 km west northwest from Manila, with a depth of 59.2 km. In an interview over dzBB right after the earthquake, Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) director Dr. Renato Solidum confirmed the earthquake's magnitude and location, adding that they will give more details as soon as these arrive. Initial PHIVOLCS reports indicate that the earthquake registered Intensity V in Zambales, Intensity III in Pasig, Intensity II in Malate, and Intensity I in Clark.
