Report: 'NBI agent,' driver nabbed for poking firearm at Manila councilor


A supposed agent of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and his driver were arrested after allegedly poking a firearm at a Manila councilor during a traffic altercation before dawn Thursday. Radio dzBB reported police brought in for questioning one Jed Uy and his driver, after the altercation with Manila councilor Roberto Ortega Jr. Uy claimed to be an agent of the NBI, the report said. An initial investigation showed the traffic dispute occurred in Manila, where Uy allegedly poked his firearm at Ortega. Ortega called police personnel from the Manila Police District Station 6, who brought Uy and his driver to the police station for questioning. — LBG, GMANews.TV
