Maynilad: Parts of Manila may be 'waterless' Nov 23-24

As water concessionaire Maynilad Water Services upgrades its pipe network in Manila next week, parts of Manila may be waterless from November 23-24. In an advisory, Maynilad said water service in the affected areas will experience "low pressure to no water" from 10 p.m. Tuesday (November 23) to 8 a.m. Wednesday (November 24). Maynilad said this is due to the insertion of a 500-millimeter butterfly valve at J. Abad Santos Street near corner Tayuman Street in Tondo, Manila. The affected areas include:

Areas bounded by J. Abad Santos,Old Antipolo, Ipil, and Tayuman Streets;

Areas bounded by J. Abad Santos, Tayuman, Quiricada, and Riverside Streets;

Areas bounded by J. Abad Santos, Quiricada, Dagupan, and Tayuman Streets;

Areas bounded by J. Abad Santos, Tayuman, Dagupan Ext., and Antipolo Streets. Maynilad advised customers in these areas to store enough water for the duration of the water service interruption.
