PCSO website 'unavailable' for Saturday's grand lotto draw result

Filipinos who bought tickets for this Saturday's Grand Lotto draw may not be able to check the results online, at least not on the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office's official website. The PCSO said late Friday this is caused by the transfer of its data center from Quezon City to its new office in Pasay City.

The PCSO website's lotto results page remained down as of Friday afternoon, the eve of the most-awaited Grand Lotto draw.
"The Lotto Game Results Search Engine will be back online by Tuesday (Nov. 23, 2010)," it said in an online advisory. Hours before the Wednesday night's Grand Lotto draw, the PCSO's website went offline, troubling many bettors wanting to check the results online. The site was back up Thursday afternoon, but clicking on the Lotto Game Results link would bring visitors to a page full of text. According to the PCSO, the transfer of its Management Information Service Data Center to its new office building at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City is causing the problem. Also, PCSO’s official Email service system will temporarily be offline. "We shall try our best to make the IMAP [Internet Message Access Protocol] Follow-up and Email Services online as soon as possible when our Data Center is fully operational to our new office at PICC," it said. The next draw of the Grand Lotto is on Saturday ight. Radio dzBB reported early Thursday the prize by then might breach the P500-million mark. — LBG, GMANews.TV
