Phivolcs: Magnitude-4.3 quake rocks Cagayan

A magnitude-4.3 quake rocked Cagayan province in Northeast Luzon before noon Saturday, but state seismologists said no damage was expected. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the quake was recorded at 11:25 a.m., and was tectonic in origin. In its earthquake bulletin, Phivolcs said the epicenter was traced to 23 km northwest of Claveria town in Cagayan. However, it did not immediately indicate the areas where the quake was felt. — LBG, GMANews.TV
