Parts of Tondo, Manila to have water interruption Friday, Saturday

Parts of Manila's Tondo district may experience water interruption for 12 hours between Friday and Saturday, concessionaire Maynilad Water Services said in an advisory Tuesday. In an advisory, Maynilad said the outage caused by its upgrading of its pipe network will last from 10 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday. "This project will temporarily affect water service in the whole Balut area in Tondo, Manila," it said. It said this was due to the insertion of a 600-mm butterfly valve along H. Lopez near cor. S. De Jesus Street, Balut in Tondo, Manila. Maynilad advised customers in these areas to store enough water for the duration of the water service interruption.
