PRC: 2,040 pass licensure exams for civil engineers


A total of 2,040 of the 5,028 exam takers passed the licensure exams for civil engineers administered this month in eight cities in the country, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced Wednesday. SEE COMPLETE LIST OF PASSERS HERE Arvin Venzuela of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) led this year’s set of passers, with a score of 96.50 percent, while Melito Andrew Daro III of the Sorsogon State College came in second place with 96.30 percent. Other exam takers who made it to the “Top 10" include: 3. Teofilo De Guzman Jr. of the University of Santo Tomas (UST), Romeo Longalong of the University of the Philippines Diliman (UP Diliman) and Armando Saraum of the University of Cebu – 95.60 percent 4. Ershie Clemente of the Bulacan State University (BulSU), Joseph Ginatilan Jr. of the Eastern Visayas State University, John Francis Manila of Bicol University and Arvin Santiago of BulSU – 94.90 percent 5. Rommel Baraquiel of the University of Rizal System in Morong and Russell Herno of the Sorsogon State College – 94.75 percent 6. John Paul De Pedro of UST, Rodson Dela Roca of PUP and Jeffrey Delos Santos of UST – 94.40 percent 7. Aaron Jonathan Alcantara and Rodora Cadiz of UST – 94.30 percent 8. Judy Anne Manalang of UST – 94.20 percent 9. Raymond Cruz of Laguna State Polytechnic College and Ma. Brida Lea Diola of UP Diliman – 94.05 percent 10. Angelei Plaza of the Father Saturnino Urios University – 93.85 percent Registration for the issuance of professional identification card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on Tuesday, while oath-taking ceremonies will be held on December 18 in Pasay City, according to the PRC.—Andreo C.
