Hotel, mall security teams get PNP training for Christmas Season

Security officers in hotels and malls in Metro Manila will get security training courses from the Philippine National Police (PNP) for the Christmas season. Radio dzBB's Benjie Liwanag Jr. reported Friday the PNP Metro Manila police office accommodated the requests of mall and hotel management for the training courses. The report said the requests stemmed from an expected rise in criminality in the coming weeks when Christmas shopping peaks. As this developed, the PNP's National Capital Region Police Office said owners of some malls have agreed to allow police to enter their premises to secure shoppers. The PNP also said it continues to conduct counter-intelligence operations against groups planning to create trouble during the holidays. – VVP, GMANews.TV
