3 quakes rock Bulusan area in last 24 hours

At least three volcanic quakes were recorded near restive Bulusan Volcano in the last 24 hours, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said Sunday. In its 8 a.m. update, Phivolcs also noted wispy to weak emission of white steam rising from the volcano’s southeast and southwest vents. No steaming was observed from the crater even as there was no reading of sulphur dioxide emission due to rainy weather, it added. Phivolcs said Bulusan's alert status remains at "1," and reminded the public not to enter the 4-km Permanent Danger Zone (PDZ). Phivolcs raised the alert level at Bulusan to "1" last Nov. 6 after the volcano ejected ash and steam. - KBK, GMANews.TV
