2 'robbers' killed in predawn encounter in Caloocan — report

Two suspected robbers on a motorcycle were shot dead in an encounter with police in Caloocan City Saturday, a radio report said. DzBB's Allan Gatus reported the incident occurred in Shelterville’s Bagumbong village in Caloocan City. Sketchy initial reports showed police elements flagged down the two motorcycle-riding men because they were “acting suspiciously." But as the policemen approached the motorcycle, the two allegedly drew their guns and tried to fire at the cops. The policemen fired back, killing the two, the report said.
