Maynilad: Parts of QC to go waterless Friday, Saturday

Parts of Quezon City will experience water service interruption on Friday and Saturday due to the upgrading of the water pipe network by water concessionaire Maynilad Water. Maynilad advised residents in the affected areas Wednesday to save water for the service interruptions expected to start at 10 p.m. Friday. In an advisory, Maynilad said the first interruption will last from 10 p.m. Friday to 2 p.m. Saturday due to the replacement of 600-mm butterfly valves along Regalado Ave. cor. Dahlia St.; along Dahlia St. near cor. Regalado Ave.; and along Dahlia St. cor. Chestnut St., in Fairview, Quezon City. Affected areas are: * Brgy. Holy Spirit * Brgy Batasan Hills * Brgy. Commonwealth * Brgy. Old Balara * Brgy. North Fairview * Brgy. Greater Fairview * Brgy. Santa Lucia * Brgy. Gulod * Brgy. Sauyo * Brgy. San Bartolome * Brgy. Bagbag * Brgy. Talipapa In a separate advisory, Maynilad said a second interruption is scheduled from 10 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday due to the replacement of a 400-mm butterfly valve along Commonwealth Ave. cor. Sandiganbayan in Quezon City; and the decommissioning of two 100-mm pipelines along Commonwealth Ave. in front of St. Peter’s Church in Quezon City.
