Alice Cooper, Neil Diamond make cut in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

NEW YORK — Neil Diamond is in. Bon Jovi isn't. The Alice Cooper Band makes the cut. LL Cool J is still waiting. The 2011 class of inductees for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was revealed on Tuesday. Diamond, Alice Cooper, Darlene Love, Dr. John and Tom Waits will be enshrined in the Cleveland hall. The third time was the charm for Love, who had been nominated twice before. Among those who got tossed into the reject pile: The Beastie Boys, LL Cool J and Bon Jovi. All were nominated but denied entry into the hall for 2011. The induction ceremony is scheduled for March 14 in New York City. The festivities will be aired on the cable TV station Fuse. — AP
