She then proceeded to give gifts to boxing icon Manny Pacquiao, singing sensation Charice and Ms. Universe fourth runner-up Maria Venus Raj, all of whom gave international recognition and pride to the Philippines. "Kung hindi dahil sa kanila, yumuyuko tayo sa kahihiyan (We'd bow our heads in shame if not for them)," Juana Change said. She gave Justice Secretary Leila de Lima, Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo, and ex-Tourism Undersecretary Enteng Romano a "tunay na tinig ng taong bayan" earphones for "really listening to the needs of the nation."
Juana Change offers a bottle of 'truth serum' to members of the Supreme Court who junked the Truth Commission.
She also gave Pope Benedict XVI a condom for the latter's statement on condom use for preventing HIV. But not all gifts came with praises and gratitude. In the video, she lit up a Judas Belt, a popular firecracker known for its sequential explosions, and proceeded to blow up pictures of Foreign Affairs Secretary Alberto Romulo, former President Gloria-Macapagal Arroyo and her husband Mike Arroyo, the Ampatuans, host Willie Revillame, and even the Visiting Forces Agreement, among others. Juana Change also asked if President Noynoy Aquino deserved a Christmas gift or a paputok for all the issues he faced in the past months. Paner campaigned for Aquino but resigned at the height of the campaign season, saying that the candidates she was campaigning for did not fit the anti-traditional politics she was advocating. In the video, she ended by wishing everyone a merry Christmas and a new year filled with expectation, genuine change and political will that will truly listen to the voice of Filipinos. — RSJ, GMANews.TV
