Cabinet members meet new apple of President's eye

Apparently, Cabinet members, not just the sisters of President Benigno Simeon "Noynoy" Aquino III, have met the new apple of his eye — stockbroker Len Lopez. Presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda confirmed on Friday that Aquino brought Lopez, who has been his constant date recently, to the Cabinet's Christmas party in Malacañang on December 15. The Christmas party was held at Rizal hall in Malacañang and was attended by most of the president's Cabinet members. Aquino's celebrity sister Kris Aquino said early this week that her brother has introduced Lopez to her and his other sisters on Sunday night. In an interview with a local radio station, Kris heaped compliments on Lopez, whom she described as slim and "very elegant." Aquino, however, continues to remain mum on his lovelife, saying at the Bulong Pulungan forum on Tuesday that his love life "will not be existent if the questions are entertained." Before dating Lopez, the 50-year-old bachelor president was linked to celebrity stylist Liz Uy, a close friend of Kris. However, a romantic relationship reportedly did not blossom between the two. Aquino's last known romantic relationship was with Valenzuela City Councilor Shalani Soledad, whom he dated for two years until their reported breakup in late September this year. The President has since asked the media not to focus too much on his love life, often adding in jest that he would never find someone to marry if media people keep writing about his love life. – VVP, GMANews.TV
