Report: Fire destroys P5-M property in Isabela

Around P5 million worth of property was destroyed in a predawn fire that hit a commercial area in Isabela province over the weekend. Radio dzBB reported on Monday that no one was reported injured in the fire that hit a construction supply store in Ilagan town, Isabela province. The fire, which started at 2:00 a.m., also razed an appliance store, the report said. The firefighters had a hard time battling the blaze due to the plywood, paint, and other flammable substances inside the burning establishments. The fire was placed under control after two hours and investigators are looking into an electrical short circuit as the cause of the fire. – VVP, GMANews.TV
