Phivolcs: Mild quake hits Romblon


A magnitude-3.5 quake rocked the Romblon area in Southern Luzon Tuesday afternoon, but there was no initial report of damage or casualty. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake was recorded at 2:51 p.m., and was tectonic in origin. In its bulletin, Phivolcs said the epicenter was at 53 km southwest of Romblon town in Romblon. Phivolcs said the quake was felt at Intensity III in Odiongan town in Romblon; and at Intensity II in Caticlan town in Aklan province in Western Visayas. No damage or aftershock was expected, Phivolcs said. — RSJ, GMANews.TV
