Paramedics inside the Big Dome came to the aid of Raymundo, who was taken to the ambulance on a stretcher. He was immediately taken to the Medical City hospital in Ortigas. PBA media bureau chief and special assistant to the commissioner Willie Marcial told GMANews.TV that Raymundo is now in stable condition right now and may be released from the hospital any day now. “He had an epileptic attack. Yan yung matagal na niyang sakit na nagsi-seizures siya," said Marcial in a telephone interview. “But he’s okay now, in fact nakikipagbiruan na nga siya sakin over the phone," he added. Mayor Raymundo became one of the strongest backers of the PBA when the University of Life Training and Recreational Arena (ULTRA), now known as the Philsports Arena in Pasig, became the home of the PBA from 1985 to 1992. But Mayor Raymundo continuously supported the league, attending the games even when the PBA moved to Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City in 1993 up to the time when the pro league went back to its original venue at the Big Dome. - Rey Joble, KY, GMANews.TV
