5 hurt in jeep accident in QC

At least five people were reported hurt while traffic was snarled along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City early Friday following a freak accident involving two passenger jeeps. Radio dzBB's Allan Gatus reported the driver of one of the jeeps, initially identified as a certain Camadu, rammed the other jeep after his jeep's brakes failed and went out of control. But passengers of his jeep said Camadu was speeding, and only managed to shout that his brakes failed moments before the crash. The incident along Commonwealth Avenue near the Ayala Technohub snarled traffic all the way to the Iglesia ni Cristo central compound, the report said. Many of the passengers suffered head injuries, while some suffered fractures. They were taken to the East Avenue Medical Center, the same report said. Police said they are mulling charges of reckless imprudence resulting in physical injuries against Camadu. — RSJ, GMANews.TV
